In short
FinakNow helps you find the addresses of your city: pharmacies on duty, shops that are open, local news. You can use everything without an account. We do not sell your data, we show no advertising and we use no third-party tracking or analytics tools.
Who is responsible
The website www.finaknow.com and the FinakNow app are run by FinakNow. For any question about your data: contact@finaknow.com or the contact form.
The data we process
- When you visit the site or app: your IP address and technical details (browser, page requested, time) pass through our server. We use them to run the service, protect it against abuse and limit the number of requests. Server logs are deleted automatically after 30 days at most.
- Preferences: the language you chose (a cookie, 1 year) and the city you are viewing (session cookie). These are necessary cookies, with no advertising or tracking.
- Favourites: the addresses you save stay on your device (local storage). We never receive them.
- Offline mode: pages you have seen are kept in your device’s cache so they stay readable without a connection.
- Account (business owners and team): name, business name, phone number, e-mail address and password (stored encrypted; we cannot read it). We also keep the date of your last login.
- Business listings: what you enter for your business (address, opening hours, phone, WhatsApp, photo, map position, description). Once approved, the listing is public: that is the purpose of the service.
- Location: only if you tap “My current position” while filling in a listing, to put your business on the map. Your phone asks for permission first. We do not track your location.
- Messages and reports: when you write to us or report a mistake in a listing, we keep your message, your name and the contact details you give so we can reply.
Why, and on what basis
- Running the service and your account: performing the service you ask for.
- Publishing business listings: at the request of the business owner.
- Security and preventing abuse: our legitimate interest in a reliable service.
- Answering your messages: your request.
We process data in line with Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of personal data and, for visitors in the European Union, the GDPR.
Who we share with
- Our hosting provider, which runs the server for us and does not use your data for its own purposes.
- Google Maps opens only when you tap “Directions” or “Open in Maps”. WhatsApp opens only when you tap the WhatsApp or Share button. Those services then apply their own privacy policy.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
We never sell or rent your data.
How long
- Account: as long as it exists. You can delete it at any time.
- Messages and reports: at most 2 years after they were handled.
- Server logs: at most 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use. Most details can be changed directly in My profile. To delete your account, see Delete my account. For anything else, write to us; we reply within one month. In Morocco you can also contact the CNDP (cndp.ma); in the European Union, the data protection authority of your country.
Security
Connections are encrypted (https), passwords are stored encrypted and only team members who need it can access account data.
Children
Anyone can browse the service. A business account is for people aged 18 or over.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page. For important changes we inform account holders.
